+ About Trent

I write for founders who’d rather be writing.

For 10+ years I’ve been the person founders call when they have something to say and can’t find the time, the framework, or the voice to say it.

I’ve ghostwritten newsletters for CEOs who couldn’t tell you what their last LinkedIn post said. I’ve built educational sequences for service firms whose own marketing teams couldn’t explain what made them different. I’ve watched the same pattern over and over: people with the most valuable thinking in their industry produce the least visible content. Not because they don’t want to. Because there’s no system.

Content Advocate is what I built after watching that pattern too many times. It’s a system designed specifically for the founder or operator who has a decade of hard-won opinions and no infrastructure to publish them.

+ What I Believe

What I believe about content.

A few things I believe that most agencies don’t.

The voice is the asset.

Templates can’t make content sound like you. AI can’t either — yet. The hard work is capturing how you actually think and turning that into infrastructure that produces content in that voice for years.

Authority compounds.

A founder who’s been publishing thoughtfully for five years has built something nobody can take. Five years from now, that’s an irreplaceable position. The trade is patience for a moat. Worth it.

Most “marketing” is motion, not progress.

If your content isn’t measurably moving toward a specific customer outcome, you don’t have content strategy. You have a content calendar.

The biggest content problem is drowning in opportunity.

Every consultant tells you to do something different. The answer isn’t more options — it’s a filter. The system we use is that filter.

+ How I Work

How I work.

I take a small number of clients at a time. Each engagement starts with the ProvenVoice Foundation — three weeks of intentional, careful voice and strategy work. From there we pick the engine that solves the most urgent problem in front of your business and we run it.

Most of our clients add engines over the first 12 months as the first engine starts producing. The system is built for that — to compound across years, not deliver a one-time project.

I’m based in the Pacific Northwest and work primarily with B2B service businesses in financial services, home services, agencies, and professional firms. If your business doesn’t fit that mold, that’s fine — happy to refer to someone who’d serve you better.

Want to talk?

The strategy call is 45 minutes. We walk through your business and figure out together whether the system makes sense. No pressure to hire. Most of the value is in the call itself.
